About the Department

Our Civil Engineering department, accredited by NBA in the year 2007 retains its glory in this polytechnic college forever, with decided staff and equipped laboratories and other facilities, Civil Engineering department strives to equip the students with ample knowledge to enable themselves fit enough for the jobs that come in their ways.

The laboratories in which practical classes are conducted well equipped with latest equipments such as Total station, Digital theodolite, Digital Planimeter, GPS, Computerised UTM etc.,

Apart from academic activities, our Civil Engineering department undertakes testing work for construction materials. Our department has been identified as a recognized testing centre for Government as wess as private departments.

The bottom line is that all the passed out students of our department are either prominently placed or self-employed immediately after the completion of the course every year.

Programme objectives

Introduce the basic concepts of civil engineering to the students and focus on the application of engineering practices relevant to society.
Provide hands on training in various laboratories to the students to understand the civil Engineering practices in relation to actual working environment.
Prepare the students with employable skills and entrepreneurial spirit to meet the challenges of gainful employment as well as self employment.
Inculcate the professional ethics in the minds of the students and infuse moral values and responsibilities.
