About the Department

The Department of Computer Engineering was started in the year 2001. It offers three–year diploma programme in Computer Engineering. The approved intake at present is 60 students per year. The department has a team of highly qualified, well experienced, committed faculty and state of the art infrastructure to cater to the academic needs of the students.

All the laboratories are equipped with modern infrastructure, hardware and software, and have sufficient quantity of personal computers and peripherals to accommodate 30 students at a time for laboratory classes. Open source software is predominantly used for conducting practical classes during all semesters. All the laboratories are fully networked using structured cabling.

The Department has well qualified and experienced faculty to drive the students to meet requirements of ever-changing world of computer technology. Learning does not end in the classroom; it goes beyond the laboratory and real time learning by way of project work through Industrial Training.

The Department moulds young outstanding engineers who are academically strong in both theory and practical. It organizes supplementary programs, which include Paper Presentations, Technical seminars and Mock Interviews to prepare the student for a career in the computing field or for industry acceptable.

Further Education

Candidates having completed diploma in Computer Science Engineering have the option to join higher education courses like B.E in Computer Engineering, Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications, or B.Tech in Computer and Communication Engineering in India. International Universities offer admission on the basis of qualifying examination marks or written test.
